Hundreds will take to the streets of the city on two wheels the morning of September 1st as cycling advocacy group Yay! Bikes hosts its annual Bike the Cbus event. Now in its eleventh year, this community bike ride will give participants the chance to tour different Columbus neighborhoods on routes that vary in length while stopping for entertainment and food along the way. Amateur riders can coast on individual neighborhood routes or the 30-mile full round, while seasoned experts can take the CbusPLUS ride spanning over 62 miles.
VOLUNTEER: This event is heavily volunteer-operated, with many opportunities to get involved the day of and in preparation for the ride. Volunteers are currently needed to post flyers, assist with last-minute sign-ups at the official pre-registration party, and work at the event pouring beer, running the bike valet, selling t-shirts, and much more.
