Attend GETDOT’s Annual Diamond Event to benefit Future Possibilities

Networking group GETDOT will be hosting their annual Diamonds Are Forever social fundraising event on Thursday evening in partnership with Future Possibilities. At this event, guests can purchase mystery shot glasses, each filled with frozen water and a chip indicating a different prize to be won. These spectacular prizes include real diamonds & fine jewelry courtesy of Worthington Jewelers, flat screen TVs, designer bags, game consoles, and much more. Proceeds will benefit Future Possibilities’ mission to provide education & guidance to underprivileged children in the community.

Country-rock band Parmalee will take the stage at the event, with all food & drink sales going to the families of the officers whose lives were taken in the shooting.

Sleepout with Huckleberry House youth support center

In efforts to raise awareness & funds for homeless youth, Huckleberry House will be hosting their signature Sleepout overnight event at COSI on Friday evening. Guests to the event will spend the night together under a large outdoor tent, giving them the chance to experience something similar to what homeless teens face in their lives every day. Ticket sales will benefit Huck House’s cause of supporting young people facing problems like abuse, neglect, and homelessness.

The Stefanie’s Champions of the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center will be hosting their annual walk/run this weekend in efforts to raise funds breast cancer research at the OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center. Locals can still register to participate in the four or one-mile race, or join volunteer group Columbus Gives Back’s “spirit team” and cheer the race on at the start & finish lines.

Attend or volunteer at the Sun-Grant Sustainability Fair 2018

Every year, Land Grant Brewing celebrates Earth Day with their own Sustainability Fair, bringing local businesses, community partners, and thirsty locals together to raise awareness & funds for the cause. The event will feature nearly 15 exhibitors including local farms, the Columbus Rec & Parks department, smart & solar energy companies, and sustainable food vendors, with limited edition small-batch brew on tap just for the party. Proceeds will benefit the Grange Insurance Audubon Center, and volunteers are welcome to lend a hand with the festivities.
