Fairy Goodmothers
The mission of Fairy Goodmothers is to promote the self-esteem and confidence of Central Ohio high school girls by gifting them FREE, beautiful prom dresses. The magic began in March 2005 when five friends from Dublin, Ohio went on a girls’ trip to Chicago and learned of The Glass Slipper Project- an organization that gifts prom dresses and accessories free of charge to high school girls in need in the Chicago area. After returning to Columbus, the women formed Fairy Goodmothers out of a vacant warehouse space on Spring Street in downtown Columbus for a Spring 2006 Cinderella’s Closet. Prom gowns, shoes and accessories were collected and more than 200 girls were gifted with prom gowns and accessories!
