What gets you up in the morning? And what gets you through the workweek?
I’m motivated by my family, a strong sense of purpose, and a desire to keep progressing — personally, professionally, and in service to others. The opportunity to create a meaningful impact while continuing to grow is what drives me each day. It’s especially fulfilling to know that my work contributes to something greater than myself.

What keeps me going through the week is the momentum that comes from small wins, the energy of collaboration, and the reminder that consistent effort leads to meaningful change. Whether it’s moving a project forward, supporting a team member, spending time with family and friends, or seeing the positive results of a tough decision — those moments fuel me.

What advice or mentors have helped guide you along the way?
Mentorship has played a pivotal role in both my personal and professional journey. I’ve been fortunate to learn from individuals who pushed me to think differently, supported my growth, and helped me navigate moments of uncertainty with clarity and confidence.

One piece of advice that has helped guide me along the way is: you don’t need to have everything figured out to keep moving forward. Even when things don’t go as planned, each decision is part of the larger journey. What matters most is taking the next step, no matter how small. Progress often comes from action, not having all the answers. Stay curious, stay grounded, and always show up with integrity.

What do you do or where do you go to unwind?
To unwind, I often go for a run or a bike ride outdoors. The physical activity and fresh air help me step away from daily stresses and reconnect with myself. At times, I also find balance by listening to music or enjoying quality moments with close friends and family, which helps me recharge and refocus.

What are a few of your favorite local spots in Columbus?
Columbus has many great spots to explore, especially for food. I enjoy grabbing a steak or seafood dinner at The Pearl or going to HangoverEasy for brunch. If I’m craving bold, flavorful West African food, Fork in Nigeria delivers every time. Budd Dairy Food Hall is another favorite; it’s always fun to try something new from their changing lineup of local vendors. I like Modern Southern Table and Zaki Mediterranean Grill for fresh, satisfying meals. I can’t forget Skillet in German Village; it’s one of my go-to spots for a cozy, elevated meal. For a rooftop dinner with a view, Goodale Station is perfect. If I want live jazz in a cool, intimate atmosphere, Ginger Rabbit is the place to be. When I want to get outside, I love walking along the Scioto Mile; the river views are beautiful and peaceful. German Village is always a classic choice for a relaxed afternoon, with its historic charm. I also enjoy going up to Bridge Park in Dublin. It’s walkable, filled with great restaurants, and always has something happening. If I’m in the mood for a night out, catching a show at the Ohio Theatre is a fantastic way to end the day.

When you were a kid, what did you say you wanted to be when you grew up?
When I was a kid, I wanted to be a firefighter.

What books or podcasts are you reading/listening to right now?
Lately, I’ve been reading Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman — a fascinating look at how our minds process decisions both quickly and deliberately. I’m also tuning into the FNO: InsurTech Podcast to stay current on the latest innovations shaping the insurance industry. I’m also reading Ariadne by Jennifer Saint, a fresh retelling of a classic Greek mythology.

What does it mean to you to be chosen for the Next Up Columbus award?
It’s truly an honor. Columbus is a remarkable city—one that has accomplished so much yet still has incredible potential ahead. To be counted among those making a real and lasting impact on our community’s growth is both humbling and inspiring.

If someone were to ask you what the “pulse” of Columbus is, what would you tell them?
If someone asked me about the “pulse” of Columbus, I’d say it’s a vibrant mix of creativity, community, and growth. The city is constantly changing, fueled by the energy of both longtime residents and newcomers. There’s a real sense of connection throughout the city. Columbus blends tradition with fresh innovation, making it a vibrant and welcoming place to call home.
