I first heard the words “you have cancer” as a rising sophomore in college. After being diagnosed twice more that year, I began a lifelong journey of survivorship and advocacy that led me to Columbus, Ohio and the Pelotonia community. Now 25 years out from my diagnosis, I am proud to be riding in Pelotonia again this year as a three-time survivor. Our community has raised more than $235 million for cancer research at the OSUCCC – James over the past 14 years, and thanks to the support of our Funding Partners, 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to innovative cancer research. With the momentum of initiatives like the Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology, I truly believe that our community is changing the landscape of cancer research and treatment. Whether you choose to ride, fundraise, or volunteer, I invite you to join us this August 5-7 or learn more at pelotonia.org.
