Through photo, personal interviews, and story, the exhibition aims to raise awareness by giving audiences an intimate look at the Dreamers, going beyond news headlines and into their personal lives.

Buy plants to benefit OSU’s Chadwick Arboretum

It’s that time of year again to start building your garden! Get a head start on your planting this weekend for a good cause as OSU’s Chadwick Arboretum & Learning Gardens hosts their 3-day Plant Fundraiser & Auction. Guests can shop amongst over 650 uncommon flowers, heirloom & organic veggies, herbs, trees, and shrubs grown by OSU students and local farms. The event will also feature vendors peddling artwork & handmade goods, food trucks, auctions, and a live radio broadcast with Ann Fisher. Proceeds will benefit arboretum’s operations and community programs.

Volunteer or Participate in The Walk to Cure Arthritis

For 70 years, the Arthritis Foundation has been working to find an end to the disease, with their signature event, the Walk to Cure Arthritis sweeping cities around the country annually. The race will hit the Central Ohio Saturday morning, kicking off at the Columbus Commons downtown. Donations & funds raised by participants will benefit Arthritis Foundation’s efforts. To get involved, register as a participant or join Columbus Gives Back as a volunteer.

Bike the Breweries for local charities

As a part of Columbus Craft Beer Week, North High Brewing will host the annual Bike the Breweries charity tour this Saturday morning. The scenic cycling excursion will take participants on a 16-mile ride with stops at 12 local breweries, where they’ll get behind-the-scenes tours and beer samples. Proceeds will benefit charity partners The Childhood League, the American Diabetes Association, and the Central Ohio Mountain Bike Organization.

Speed Sneakers Racing’s 4th annual Challenge Columbus 5k is a corporate-focused health & wellness event which brings a plethora of companies together to compete for a good cause. This year, the race’s proceeds will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio, which provide a home-away-from-home for families of hospitalized children facing life-threatening conditions. The event is also currently accepting volunteers to assist the day of the race.
