Music lovers will congregate in Gahanna this weekend for one of the region’s largest summertime celebrations, the annual Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival, returning for its 20th anniversary this Friday through Sunday. The 3-day party will include 5 stages of live music, tasting events and food & drink, vendor booths, and kids’ activities, all taking place along Creekside’s scenic waterfront. Volunteers are invited to assist at the event in a variety of areas including set-up/tear-down, stage assistance, parking, and more.

Volunteer at the Tour de Grandview Cycling Classic

The scenic streets of Grandview Heights will be flooded with bikes this Friday afternoon as the annual Tour de Grandview Cycling Classic returns with its massive community race & party. For this event, hundreds of pro cyclists will ride into the night through the neighborhood while spectators cheer on & enjoy live music, food & craft beer, and family-friendly activities. Volunteer at the Grove City Wine & Arts Festival

Volunteers are invited to join over 30,000 attendees at the annual Grove City Wine and Arts Festival, returning for its seventh year to the Grove City Town Center this weekend. The foodie favorite will highlight the best in local beverages, with a plethora of Ohio wineries present to serve samples of their latest creations & classic favorites. Also present will be nearly 90 artists and merchants, and food trucks. Volunteers will assist with duties like bartending and assisting vendors.

Volunteer at Columbus Pride 2018

June is the official LGBTQ Pride Month, and people around the country are celebrating love & equality with parades and festivals in cities nationwide. Stonewall Columbus will bring thousands of locals together this Friday & Saturday for the annual Columbus Pride Festival, a two day long bash on the riverfront Downtown. Highlights of the fest include a massive parade, three stages of live music and drag performances, vendor booths, beer, liquor & food, and much more. Volunteers are still needed to assist at the event with general duties, kids’ area help, and beverage ticketing/serving.

Attend the Zoofari Columbus Zoo and Aquarium fundraiser

Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

Head to the Columbus Zoo this Saturday evening for their annual 21+ Zoofari fundraising event. The event will feature nearly 100 local restaurants and bars serving up samples of signature dishes and beverages plus live entertainment on multiple stages throughout the zoo grounds, cash bars, a raffle, and more. Both general and VIP admission available, and all proceeds benefit the zoo.

Volunteer at the Worthington Arts Festival

The suburban northside neighborhood of Worthington also invites volunteers to join them at their annual Arts Festival, taking place this Saturday & Sunday just outside Thomas Worthington High. Back in its 26th year, the outdoor affair will feature 120 exhibiting artists showcasing & selling their works in categories ranging from jewelry, leatherworks, & textiles, to wood, ceramics, painting & photography. Volunteers are needed for assistance at the information booth, front desk, bar, and more.

Volunteer at Grandview Digfest

Grandview Yard

The beer will flow through the Grandview neighborhood on Saturday (6/16) as the Tri-Village Chamber hosts the annual Digfest, a community celebration that puts a spotlight on local drinks & food. With a name that stands for “drinks in Grandview,” this community bash will include live music, craft beer from 10 different breweries, locally-produces liquor, several food trucks, and retail vendors, all taking place under the summer sun in the Grandview Yard’s plaza. Volunteer slots are almost full for this event, but positions are still available for duties like set-up/tear-down, gate control, and ticket sales.
