Block’s Bagels

Block's Bagels

In 1967, Hal Block opened a small bagel shop at 12 South Kellner in Columbus, Ohio. He used the recipe’s given to him by an uncle who had a bakery in New York City. The menu has since expanded to include a full bakery and deli. In 1980, Block’s opened up a second location at 6115 McNaughten Center, just east of I-270 off Main Street. In 1987, Block’s closed the original location and moved to Hampton and Broad. Today, Block’s has been locally honored for their quality and have customers all over the United States. Hal’s son, Steve, is on hand everyday ensuring the quality his father brought to the Columbus market. The wholesale and catering divisions are constantly delivering fresh product all over the Columbus area.
