BREATHE Columbus
BREATHE Columbus is a volunteer nonprofit organization founded by Rita Fuller Yates in June of 2020 following the lynching of George Floyd to address the social injustices against Black and Brown people in America. Ten diverse taskforces carry out this important work in central Ohio and beyond.
Mission:
BREATHE is an acronym for our mission: Take a deep BREATH as we destroy RACISM and ERADICATE the police abuse and societal TRAUMA in order to HEAL as a nation for what we have ENDURED for way too long. BREATHE.
