David Ingram, 33, is eyeing a career in politics someday given his love of policy work at the state level.

“I enjoy working in public service; just giving back and helping out,” said Ingram, a graduate of Ohio State University, where he earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees in criminology and political science, before graduating from Capital Law School. “I would love to work in politics. I want to work with citizens, run for office, and work with legislators, making that impact on the public with law and legislation.”

Ingram, who is originally from North Carolina but has lived in Ohio so long that Columbus feels like home, currently does that as Executive Director for the State of Ohio Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors.

“I collaborate with the Board to regulate an industry while protecting the citizens of Ohio,” said Ingram. “I help regulate the profession of embalmers and funeral directors. industry regulation and how it operates.”

Ingram also sits as a board member for the 411 Foundation and is a Professional Men’s Physique Competitor through Complete Human Performance. He currently lives on the outskirts of the east side of Columbus, but has his favorite hot spots inside Columbus.

“The Arena District, Short North, Grandview,” he said. “And especially the North Market. There’s so much in there.”

It’s his favorite place to take guests. And his favorite places to eat?

“Hot Chicken Takeover and Dirty Frank’s,” he laughed. “Love those tater tots.”
